Privacy policy
glassplay keeps the score of your padel matches. It has no account, no analytics, no telemetry and makes no network calls. Everything it records stays on your own devices.
The short version
- No account. You never sign in or give us an email address.
- No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers.
- No network calls. glassplay 1.0 does not connect to any server, ours or anyone else's. There are no third-party SDKs.
- Match data, names you type and the match workout live on your Apple Watch and iPhone, and in whatever backups you keep of those devices.
- We cannot see your data, so we cannot share, sell or lose it.
Apple Health and the match workout
When you start a match, the watch app begins an Apple Health workout session. It does this to keep the watch app on screen and awake for the whole match, so the crown always scores the moment you turn it.
When the match ends, the watch saves that session to Apple Health as a workout, with the heart rate and active energy your watch measured during play. HealthKit has no padel type, so it is recorded as a tennis workout. Matches shorter than two minutes are not saved.
glassplay reads nothing back from Apple Health. It does not look at your other workouts, your heart rate history or any other health record, and no health data leaves your devices through the app. You can decline Health access when asked; scoring still works, but the watch may sleep when your wrist drops, as it normally would.
Apple Health data is governed by Apple's own privacy terms and stays under your control in the Health app.
Player and team names
Names you type for players or teams are stored only on your devices and in your own iCloud or computer backups of those devices. They are used to label matches and to let the spoken umpire call the score by name. They are not sent anywhere.
Match history
Your match record (every point, game and set, with timestamps) is kept in the iPhone app's local database on your phone. The watch keeps only the current match, saved to its own storage so that scoring survives the app being closed. Neither copy is uploaded.
Diagnostics log
Both apps write a small diagnostics log (match_log.txt) to help us find faults such as a late call or a slow connection between the watch and the phone. It records timings and app events only. It contains no names, no health data and no identifiers for you, and it stays on the device unless you choose to send it to us yourself.
Between your watch and your phone
The watch and the phone exchange the score over Apple's WatchConnectivity link, directly between your two devices. No part of that exchange goes through our servers, because we have none.
Deleting your data
- Match history, names and settings: delete the glassplay app from your iPhone. Deleting the iPhone app also removes the watch app and its saved match.
- Workouts: open the Health app on your iPhone, go to Browse → Activity → Workouts, choose a glassplay workout and delete it, or delete all data recorded by glassplay under Profile → Apps → glassplay.
- Backups: data already in your iCloud or computer backups stays there until you remove or overwrite that backup.
Future versions
A later version of glassplay may add anonymous usage statistics so we can see which features matter and where the app fails. If it does, there will be a switch in the app to turn it off, and this policy will be updated before that version ships. Nothing in version 1.0 collects or sends anything.
Who we are and how to contact us
glassplay is made by Eleo Digital Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom, which is the data controller for anything described here. Because the app sends us nothing, we hold no personal data about you unless you email us.
Questions about this policy: [email protected].
If we change this policy we will change the effective date at the top and, for anything that affects what the app does with your data, release it alongside the app version that makes the change.
